Welcome to La Brousse

The place called “La Brousse” is situated in rural France. Born in 1150, the sleeping village today holds 900 years of history.

The more recent history starts with the farmers who see the land of La Brousse as an advantage and its buildings as their inconvenience.

They re-draw the land registry and sell the buildings alone, having taken care of plugging the spring and filling the pond.

The sheepfold was converted to a cottage with just about the comfort of a modern shack.

The population is gone but the beautiful Roman church is still standing.

I am very attached to the place with special dedication to the church “Sainte-Foy de la Brousse” and, as its keeper, I feel it is my duty to preserve it and give it a purpose.

I am therefore managing two very different projects, although, their purpose is so entangled, they can’t be dissociated from each other.

Opening La Brousse to “Artists in Residency” and “Restoring the church of Sainte-Foy de la Brousse”

This makes me happy!
